Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Greer, South Carolina, we combine nationwide capabilities with the personalized service and accountability of a boutique firm. Our team understands the recovery industry from the ground up because we’ve lived it. That firsthand experience shapes every assignment we manage and every relationship we build. For more than three decades, we’ve helped clients locate collateral, navigate complex recoveries, mitigate risk, and resolve challenging assignments with professionalism, compliance, and efficiency.

A1 Nationwide was founded on a simple principle: recovery works best when communication, accountability, and expertise come first.

What began as a vision to provide lenders with a more responsive forwarding partner has grown into a trusted national network serving automotive, powersports, marine, RV, and specialty finance portfolios throughout all 50 states.

Unlike large corporate forwarders, we believe clients deserve direct access to knowledgeable professionals who understand their business and can make decisions quickly. That’s why we prioritize personal relationships, transparent communication, and hands-on oversight throughout the recovery process.

Renee McAbee, President & CEO

Renee McAbee has been a respected leader in the recovery industry since 1996. Her career began behind the wheel of a repossession truck, providing firsthand experience with the realities and challenges of field recovery operations.

After advancing into management and operational leadership, Renee founded her own repossession agency, gaining valuable insight into the needs of both lenders and recovery agents. Building on that experience, she established A1 Nationwide in 2010 with a vision of creating a forwarding company focused on accountability, compliance, and exceptional client service.

Today, Renee leads A1 Nationwide’s national operations, drawing on more than 30 years of industry experience to help lenders resolve complex recovery challenges while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
